Aloe ferox versus Aloe vera:
Essentially the chemical compositions of Aloe vera and Aloe ferox are comparable. However, from scientific tests performed at the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens in Cape Town, South Africa (January 1987), it was found that the amino acid content of Aloe ferox is almost double that of Aloe vera. Aloe ferox also contains a larger percentage of monosaccharide components in the aloe gel, higher concentrations of minerals, and approximately 20 times more aloe bitters (detoxifying and antibiotic qualities).
